Bike Maintenance Workshops in Bradford

There are a number of courses available which teach you to fix your bike – right from the level of fixing a puncture up to advanced mechanics qualifications.  Keep an eye out for news about them from this website and the organisations it signposts.

Bradford Bikery

bikery-workshopBradford Bikery are a community workshop/charity organisation that run workshops (Ground Floor Buchan Towers, Radwell Dr, BD5 0QS).  They also hold drop-in maintenance sessions weekly. They have workstands, tools and helpful mechanics who will give you advice and guidance in maintaining and repairing your bike. Whether you don’t know the first thing about bikes or you have a good idea of what you’re doing, the Bikery workshop is open to all.

 

Shipley Active Travel Hub

Supporting the people of Shipley and Surrounds to make Active Travel part of their everyday lives, the new Shipley Active Travel Hub will offer bike lessons, maintenance training, walking resources and lots more.The Shipley Active Travel Hub is a partnership between the Margaret Carey Foundation, Capital of Cycling, Shipley Town Council and the Kirkgate Community Centre

Halfords Courses

The Halfords chain, on Hamstrasse in Bradford periodically runs maintenance classes, which are usually free.  They are currently signing people up for free kids bike maintenance courses and courses for women.

The University and College’s Bike Hub

The Bike Hub runs maintenance courses, offers bike hire and help with cycling related matters to Bradford University and College students and staff.
