Ilkley Cycling Club and Verity Fine Worsteds is proud to present the second annual Tweed ride

Saturday 27th June 11am meeting at the bandstand on the Grove

This will be a minimum-exertion, maximum-elegance jaunt for the stylish lady and gentleman cyclist about town.
Meeting place will be at the Bandstand on Ilkley Grove at eleven O’clock sharp,

Where we shall partake of some English breakfast tea courtesy of Betty’s cafe,
prior to mounting our trusty steeds for a gentle pootle out to Ben Rhydding and back (Intrepid types may continue the journey to the Cavendish Pavilion in The grounds of lovely Bolton Abbey),
returning thence to Ilkley Vaults for some hard earned refreshments, And the following treats:

– A variety of wonderful aperitifs, supplied by the Travelling gin company
– Prizes for the best dressed man and woman…preferably on Ilkley Moor With T’at!
– Prize for the best vintage style bicycle
– The opportunity to sample the finest pies and bangers known to humanity courtesy of Lishman’s of Ilkley
– Musical serenades courtesy of the Emily brown Swing quartet
